Motorists using the long-term car park at Melbourne Airport were greeted by an unusual sight this morning- a kangaroo.The distressed marsupial was hopping around the fifth floor of the multistorey car park.Wildlife officers were sent to retrieve the injured animal.They put the kangaroo to sleep with a tranquiliser dart and removed it in a hessian bag.It does not appear to have any injuries apart from damaged toenails.It will be given a vet check and then it will be released.A caller to ABC local radio, John, said it was a bizarre sight.He said the animal was clearly distressed.Yeah absolutely, hopping around quite frantically. You know, scrabbling, he said.When it saw me, it tried to move so fast it almost fell over because its got no grip.
