An average of 50,000 people using free Wi-Fi every day available at 100 points
LAHORE (Dunya News) - The Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) has claimed that Lahorites are using 500 GB of free Wi-Fi data daily.
According to the spokesperson of the Safe Cities, a large number of citizens are benefiting from the free Wi-Fi service.
Lahoris are using 500 GB of free Wi-Fi data daily, with an average of 50,000 people using free Wi-Fi every day.
The spokesperson stated that approximately 1.2 million people have benefited from the free Wi-Fi service in a month, available at 100 points. So far, 11,775 GB of data has been consumed.
PSCA spokesperson stated that on the directives of the Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, the Safe City Authority was providing free Wi-Fi service in emergencies.
Citizens can contact the police and their loved ones through free Wi-Fi in emergencies. Citizens can use the free Wi-Fi service for women safety app, Punjab Police app, and WhatsApp.
The spokesperson further stated that the free Wi-Fi service was only for emergency use. Different applications can also be downloaded through free Wi-Fi.
The service can also be used for booking taxi rides. Free Wi-Fi is not for video streaming or entertainment purposes such as Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, and other entertainment apps.
