Elon Musk says additional Twitter upgrades will be "better in every way"

(Web Desk) - Elon Musk, the founder of Twitter, declared the social media site will undergo a makeover a few days after he revealed the name "X" for the enduringly popular microblogging service Twitter and that the recognisable blue bird logo would be retired.

Musk revealed his intentions to alter the platform's colouring palette on Thursday.

The site often gives users a choice of three backgrounds: "Default," "Dim," and "Lights out," which are, respectively, white, grey, and black.

However, Musk has stated that "soon" the platform will "only have 'dark mode.'"

Early on Thursday morning, Musk tweeted, "It's better in every way."

A user asked Musk if he planned to replace Twitter's blue verification checkmark with a black-and-white one to match the new "X" logo, and Musk replied with the statement.

At first, the user questioned, "Blue tick or Black tick?"

"I like black too, but it won't work in the dark mode," he retorted.
Musk then interjected to tease the new design.

The "dark mode," which is often characterised by a dark grey backdrop that is easier on the eyes and helps conserve battery power on mobile devices, is also used by other social networking sites.

Many Twitter users praised the adjustment.

"Genius idea," one user said.

Another said, "Can't wait.

The modification is the most recent in Musk's rebranding of Twitter, which may involve doing away with the baggage of its owner ownership in favour of what will be dubbed a "everything app."

This Monday, Musk unveiled its new logo, replacing the blue bird on its website with a stylized "X" in an effort to reposition the microblogging platform.

In a tweet on Sunday, Musk announced his intention to change the Twitter logo and asked his millions of followers if they preferred the site's current blue to black colour scheme.
