Slack is back

(Web Desk) - Slack, the professional messaging platform, has successfully resolved a global outage that occurred recently as reported on its status page.

The outage caused significant disruptions for workers worldwide, leaving them unable to send or receive messages and impacting their daily operations.

During the outage, users were only able to access old conversations and messages were unable to be delivered. This was particularly problematic for companies that heavily rely on Slack for their communication, especially since remote work has become more prevalent due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The breakdown began in the United Kingdom around 10am UK time and was accompanied by a significant increase in reports of problems on the tracking website Down Detector.

Unfortunately, no updates were provided on the official Slack status page and the platform has not yet addressed the cause or status of the outage. Typically, Slack communicates such technical issues through its Twitter account.

Despite acknowledging the issue more than 30 minutes after the outage, Slack was still unable to specify the source of the problem: "Users may be experiencing trouble with sending messages in Slack," according to the official status page.

Reports indicate that users were encountering difficulties with sending messages, using workflows and performing various actions within the Slack app.
