Google to make Stadia controller Bluetooth-enabled
(Web Desk) - Speculations over the future of Google’s Stadia controller, which was linked to the service, erupted when the American tech giant recently revealed that it will be closing down the service.
A business has now disclosed that it would be launching a self-serve tool that will allow users to enable Bluetooth on the Stadia controller, according to GSM Arena, a tech news website.
This was a controller feature that was dormant and had its firmware turned off. The Stadia controller can then be used with other devices as a typical Bluetooth controller once it has been enabled.
In contrast to Google’s stated deadline of January 18, the upgrade should permit Stadia users to continue using the controller with other devices.
In addition, Google provided Stadia users with one gamer, called “Worm Game,” before the service is discontinued next Wednesday. The team used this game, which has been played internally for years, to evaluate Stadia’s features.
If the service had not shut down, this rudimentary, no-frills game probably would not have ever been released. According to GSM Arena, playing the game that was used to test and develop the service is kind of like a cool Easter egg.
