Robotics engineers present the latest robotic innovations and research.
Robotics engineers from all over the world gathered at International Conference on Robotics and Automation (ICRA) in Shanghai to present the latest robotic innovations and research.Better Robots, Better Lives was organized by Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) that attracted more than 1,700 engineers, academics, and businesses from nearly 100 countries. The featured robots performed a range of tasks, from writing calligraphy to serving food; from exploring Mars to disposing of explosives in warzones. The event provided a platform to advance the growth of robot technology and build a bridge that would allow robots to help and improve humans and society. The latest advancement in robotics was geared towards caring for the elderly, rehabilitation, and convenience in daily activities. Most of the models were in their development stages. This was the first time the worlds top conference on robotics and automation innovation was hosted in China. Besides the display of robots, the conference also included more than 30 workshops, tutorials and forums on robotic engineering.
