CEO of leading Samsung, Huawei distributor dies in DHA blast

(Web Desk) – Chief Executive Officer of Airlink Communication, leading distributor of Huawei and Samsung smart phones in Pakistan has died in an explosion in DHA Z-Block on Thursday.
A blast claimed seven lives and left several wounded outside a restaurant at around 11:00am today in Defence Housing Authority. Reportedly, Moazzam Paracha, Airlink Communication s CEO owned the restaurant and was visiting the eatery in Z-Block.
Paracha led the enterprise that is the leading distributor of Samsung and Chinese Huawei mobile phones in Pakistan. Airlink Communication initially used to distribute PTCL devices but later expanded and ventured into the smart phone market.
Reportedly, he was rushed to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to wounds.
DHA blast is the second alleged terror attack in Lahore this month after a suicide bomber hit a protest outside Punjab Assembly on Mall Road on February 13 claiming 14 lives and wounding dozens of others.
However, according to the government, forensic report of the incident would confirm whether it was a terror attack or a generator blast.
