Peruvian archaeologists announced on Monday they have discovered a 1200-year-old tomb with the remains of what is believed to have been a nobleman or top government official of the Sican culture. The remains were found along with several objects in Las Ventanas archaeological site, close to the Lord of Sican's tomb in the northwestern region of Lambayeque. The team led by archaeologist Carlos del Carpio considered the discovery a miracle, because the burial site wasn't damaged by the nearby river of La Leche, neither by bulldozers working on its surroundings. In the burial site, archaeologists found a turquoise collar with shells, an eye mask, a knife, seven pottery vessels, a metal plate and a gold razor resembling a bird, one of the symbols of his culture.
