CHENGDU (Dunya News) – Pakistan’s Muhammad Asif continued his unbeaten run at the World Games 2025, securing a dominant 2-0 victory over Britain’s Zac Cosker in the quarterfinals on Tuesday.
Competing at the Tianfu Campus Gymnasium of the Civil Aviation Flight University, Asif delivered a commanding performance that comfortably earned him a spot in the final four, keeping Pakistan’s hopes for a medal alive.
From the outset, Asif controlled the tempo of the game, leaving little room for his opponent to recover.
In the opening frame, he outclassed Cosker with a 79-15 scoreline, combining sharp potting skills with strategic safety shots.
The second frame was similarly lopsided, with Asif sealing the win 81-39 through a relentless display of precision and focus.
This marks Asif’s third straight win in Chengdu without dropping a frame. He previously secured victories over China’s Liang Xiaolong and Germany’s Alexander Widau in the earlier rounds.
Asif has now reached the semifinals, where he will look to continue his winning streak and move one step closer to securing a medal for Pakistan.
