Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ijaz Butt has disbanded the national selection panel. The PCB said in a statement that the decision to abolish the senior and junior selection committees would come into effect immediately, but that former test wicketkeeper Wasim Bari would continue to work as chairman of interim selection panel. The other members of the interim selection committee include Coach Intikhab Alam, captain Younis Khan and vice-captain Misbah-ul-Haq. The interim selection committee will continue to function until further orders, PCB said in the statement.
