4 Chinese swimmers create Guinness World Record

Four Chinese swimmers swam across 24-kilometre Kanas Lake to create ne Guinness World Record.

All the swimmers crossed the lake safely in seven hours in Xinjiang Uygur area of China. The lake posed intense challenges to swimmers as its average temperature remains around 10 degrees Celsius. The lake is situated at over 1,300 metres above sea level and there is less oxygen in the atmosphere. But the biggest threat was from presences of unknown dangerous sea creatures.The swimmers underwent intensive practice for the purpose. According to their coach, the swimmers were advised to swim a little bit slowly so that they can adapt themselves to the water temperature.
