Former one-day international and T20 captain Shahid Afridi left for England to play county cricket.
Talking to media at the Karachi Airport before his departure, Afridi said that he was very happy on his return to cricket. He hoped to perform well in his stint at the county cricket. He said that he would concentrate for the time being on the domestic cricket. Earlier, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had cancelled his NOC to play county cricket on the pretext that Afridi breached code of conduct. However, the board allowed him to play county cricket after he accepted his mistake before a PCB disciplinary committee in Lahore. The disciplinary committee also slapped a fine of Rs 3.5 million on the former captain.
