Zulqarnain Haider will appear before the disciplinary committee of the PCB on Friday, June 17.

In the meeting, Zulqarnain would try to convince the PCB disciplinary committee that his decision to leave the national team in Dubai and flee to London, was justified as he was under threat from alleged match-fixers.The PCB told Zulqarnain to face disciplinary proceedings for violating his central contract. On the other hand, Zulqarnain claims he received threats during the series against South Africa after which he left without informing the team management.The PCB is also upset about Zulqarnains statements in the media that some Pakistani players were involved in spot-fixing.Zulqarnain Haider would appear before a three-member disciplinary committee headed by Sultan Rana, including Khawaja Owais and Col (retd) Wasim Ahmed.
