England resumed the 5th day at 149 for the loss of two wickets and declared their second innings at 335/7. Alastair Cook was top scorer with 106 runs while Kevin Pietersen contributed 72 runs while Ian Bell remained unbeaten at 57.Chasing a target of 343, Sri Lanka lost Kumar Sangakkara at the start of the innings. He made 9 runs. Tharanga Paranavitana and Mahela Jayawardene batted carefully and made 44 and 27 runs respectively to earn a draw. The hosts, England, are leading the three-Test series by 1-0.
