Australia retains top spot as Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi breaks into the top 10 bowlers.

After the World Cup 2011 concluded, the international cricket council released the cricket rankings. India, the current world champions are ranked in second place with 121 points as Australia retains the number one spot. Sri Lanka is third in the rankings while Pakistan remains at number six with 103 points. No Pakistani batsman was able to make a place the top 10 batsmen. After jumping up 25 positions, Muhammad Hafeez is the best place Pakistani batsman ranked at number 36.On the other hand, Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi jumped five places to break into the top 10 bowlers. He is currently ranked at number nine. After moving up nine places, Saeed Ajmal is at number 20.In the all-rounder category, Shahid Afridi retained his position at number three.
