Harassment scandal: Iqra Javed speaks up for ex-women's hockey team goalkeeper

Iqra Javed posted a video in Syeda Sadia's support.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Female hockey player Iqra Javed on Friday spoke out in support of former goalkeeper Syeda Sadia who accused the team’s head coach, Saeed Khan, of harassment and assault.

In a video message, Iqra Javed said she is witness to the incident and whatever Sadia has said against Khan is true. She said the team captain and other players gave statement against Sadia due to the administration’s fear.

In a video message, which emerged on Thursday, Sadia accused that Khan harassed and assaulted her on the night of October 8 after an argument. She urged that authorities look into the matter and to fire Khan immediately.

On the other hand, Saeed Khan has rejected these allegations, stating that he scolded Sadia over violation of discipline.
