Saima wins women squash title

WAPDAs Saima Shoukat grabbed the title after beating top seed Rushna Mehboob in the final of the First PIA National Senior Women Squash Tournament on Sunday.

The championship remained continued for three days at Peshawar’s Hashim Khan Squash Complex. The final of the tournament was played between Rushna Mehboob of ZTBL and Saima Shoukat of WAPDA but Saima clinched the trophy and became the squash champion. Provincial Minister for Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Syed Aqil Shah was the chief guest in the final while former World Champion Jansher Khan was also present on the occasion. Syed Aqil Shah distributed the prizes among the women players who came from across the country to take part in the championship.
