Cricket is hugely popular in both India and Pakistan but while the male teams are known world over, female teams get little attention and women cricketing tournaments struggle to gain viewers despite recent strides. The Women’s World Cup (set to start from 24th June) is an international tournament arranged by the ICC (International Cricket Council) to popularize female cricket and make it part of mainstream sports.
