Injured Hussey, Hauritz out of Australia's WC squad

Australian players Mike Hussey and Nathan Hauritz have been forced out of the ICC World Cup squad because of injuries.

Selectors met Tuesday following fitness tests on Hauritz (shoulder), Hussey (hamstring), Ponting (finger), Steve Smith (hip) and Brad Haddin (knee). Both Hussey and Hauritz were considered too big a risk following surgery. Hussey will not be able to play in the tournament because of a hamstring injury. He is being replaced by Callum Ferguson. Hauritz suffered a dislocated shoulder. He has been replaced by Jason Krezja. Australia, who are looking to win their fourth successive and fifth overall World Cup, play their first practice match against India Feb 13 in Bangalore while their first league match is against Zimbabwe Feb 21.
