Narinder Batra elected new FIH President

LAHORE (Dunya News) – A meeting of the international hockey federation (FIH) was held in Dubai where official voting for electing the new president was the main headline.
The three-man race for presidency included David Brinie of Ireland and Ken Read of Australia and Narinder Batra of India.
A total of 100 countries participated in the election process.
Narendra Batra got a total of 68 votes and was elected as new president of FIH as a result.
The official announcement was made by Leandro Negre of Spain as his 8 years presidency came to an end.
It is also worth-mentioning that the newly elected president of FIH is a staunch antagonist of Pak-India contests, however; Pakistan Hockey Federation cast its vote in his favor.
