Egypt's Omar Abdul Meguid wins COAS International Squash Championship

COAS Gen Raheel Sharif distributed trophies and prizes among the winners.

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Omar Abdul Meguid, from Egypt won the COAS International Squash Championship, 2016 by defeating Ivan Yuen of Malaysia in three straight games at Mushaf Squash Complex Islamabad on Sunday.

COAS Gen Raheel Sharif witnessed the match and distributed trophies and prizes among the winners as Chief Guest.

Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman was also present on the occasion.



Championship was organized by Army Sports Directorate in collaboration with Pakistan Squash Federation. This Championship, an annual feature on the Pakistan Squash Federation calendar has been revived this year after a suspension for 8 years in a bid to woo international sports and contribute to building a healthy society.

Besides Pakistan, world ranking players from Egypt, France, Hong Kong, Jordan, Malaysia and USA also participated in the week long championship.
