Abu Dhabi Test: South Africa declares at 584/9

On the second day of the second test between South Africa and Pakistan, South Africa declared their first innings at 584 for the loss of nine wickets, Dunya News reported on Sunday. In reply Pakistan was 59 for the loss of one wicket at stumps. Pakistan was still trailing 525 runs behind South Africa when the second days play was stopped early due to bad light. Taufiq Umer was playing on 16 while Azhar Ali was not out on 34. Pakistan had to lose Muhammad Hafeez when the total was just 2. Earlier when the second days play started South Africa resumed their innings from 311/5 and declared the innings at 584/9. AB de Villiers dominated Pakistani bowlers. AB de Villiers remained not out on 269 and also became the highest run scorer for South Africa in test matches. Tanvir Ahmed took 6 wickets for Pakistan, Abdul Rehman grabbed 2 while Muhammad Hafeez took only 1 wicket.
