Tennis: Kerber to miss Nuremberg tournament

Angelique Kerber will miss next week's Nuremberg Open on the WTA Tour due to a shoulder problem.
BERLIN (AFP) - Angelique Kerber will miss next week s clay-court Nuremberg Open on the WTA Tour due to a shoulder problem, the German world number two announced on Friday.
"I am so sorry, but due to medical Problems at my shoulder I had to withdraw from Nuremberg," Kerber tweeted.
"So sad that I cannot compete in front of my fantastic home crowd."
Kerber consulted a specialist on Wednesday in the wake of her Italian Open exit at the hands of Canada s Eugenie Bouchard.
However, there is no indication that the injury will prevent the Australian Open champion from taking part at Roland Garros later this month.
