Pakistani weightlifters have ended their protest after Pakistan Olympic Association assured them to provide justice. Earlier, National weightlifters decided not to participate in the CWG due to maltreatment by Sindh Minister Muhammad Ali Shah in the inauguration ceremony of the event. However, according to sources, Secretary Pakistan Olympic Association Major Afzal assured the weightlifting team of justice after which the team changed the decision. The dispute between the Chef De Mission and the national weightlifters started when Muhammad Ali Shah held the national flag in the march past of the national players during the opening ceremony of the mega event instead of Shuja Uddin Malik.
