The Pakistan Cricket Board arbitrator has lifted a one-year ban on former Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik, and halved the fine to Rs 1million. Malik's appeal was partially accepted, in that his ban was lifted and his fine of Rs 2 million was halved, by arbitrator during the hearing on Saturday. Malik had been banned for a year because of disciplinary issues after an inquiry into Pakistan's Australia tour in 2009-10, where they lost every game. Malik is among six players who have appealed against the fines and suspensions. The selectors have already included Malik among 35 probables for next month's Asia Cup and twin Test series against Australia and England. Younis Khans case has been put off for a week.
