Karachi Stadium land being occupied, Ijaz tells PAC

Chairman Cricket Board Ijaz Butt disclosed that an organization has built a housing society after illegally occupying the 18-acres Karachi National Stadium land.Butt told the meeting of Public Accounts Committee that reviewed the audit report of PCB that a judges colony has also been built on another 6-acers of the stadium land. Butt told PAC that he has received life threats as efforts were on to take over another 5-acres land worth Rs250million.PAC chairman Chaudhry Nisar Khan assured Ijaz that the Chief Justice of Pakistan and the COAS would be informed of the said issue.PAC requested to put former PCB chairman Nasim Ashrafs name in Exit Control List for Rs260million irregularities. The audit report contained that PCB bought biomechanical machinery costing Rs400milion, which has not been put in use so far.However, Butt told the meeting that the operator for the said machinery is not available.PAC assured retrieval of the said land.
