Football: Messi and Ronaldo share player spoils
Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo shared the spoils in the Spanish League's season awards.
MADRID (AFP) - Ahead of January s Ballon D Or award the world s two best players Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo shared the spoils in the Spanish League s season awards on Monday.
Messi was named "best player" for 2012/13 while Ronaldo won the "MVP" or player of the season award.
Both players are on the FIFA Ballon D Or shortlist for the best player of 2013.
