India Vs Sri Lanka 2nd ODI: India wins toss, Sehwag out

Dunya News

India won the toss and elected to bat against Sri Lanka in the second one-day international match being played at the VCA stadium in Nagpur. Skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni won the toss and had no hesitation in choosing to bat on a pitch that promises a run feast. India suffered big jolts as opener Virender Sehwag was caught behind in the first over and Gautam Gambhir soon followed him. Indian score read 19 runs Gambhir was run out trying to take a cheeky single. India is playing without Yuvraj Singh, the southpaw, who won the match for India in Mohali. Singh is down with an injured fingure and flu, which he suffered during the last match. Indian team relies a lot on winning matches on Yuvraj Singh and it remains to be seen how skipper Dhoni handles his absence from the team. For Lanka key spinner Muttiah Muralitharan and fast bowler Dilhara Fernando will miss the match and perhaps the series due to finger injuries. Lankan team has brought in fresh faces that include medium pacer Muthumudalige Pushpakumara and young off spinner Suraj Randiv.
