Aisam, Rojer reach pre-quarters of Australian Open
Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi and Julien Rojer won their second round match in the Australian Open.
Pakistan s Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi and Julien Rojer of Netherlands secured a straight sets victory over Dick Norman and Xavier Malisse of Belgium and reached the pre-quarter finals of Australian Open Tennis Championship.
Aisam and Rojer, who had paired up together for the first time last year and finished in the top 10, are seeded 6th in this year s championships. They had also reached the semi-finals of last year s French Open and Australian Open championships.
Aisam and Rojer took the first set 7-6 after a tough fight in the tie-breaker. They took the second set comparatively easily as they broke their opponents once and took the set 6-4 to book their place in next round.
