Japan's Kohei Uchimura outclassed his rivals with a near flawless display to win the all-around gold medal at the world gymnastics championship. The silver medallist from the 2008 Beijing Olympics scooped the top individual prize with a total of 91.500. Daniel Keatings gave the sparse crowd plenty to cheer as he won Britain's first ever all-around world medal when he claimed silver with 88.925. Russia's Yuri Ryazanov was third. The men's showpiece event at the O2 Arena was expected to be a three-way battle between Uchimura, American Jonathan Horton and former European champion Maxim Deviatovski of Russia.
