Kenesnisa wins 10,000 meter race, Shelly-Ann woman champion
Ethiopian athlete Kenesnisa Bekele won the world title in 10,000 meters World Athletic Championship race for the fourth consecutive time. On the other hand, Jamaica's Shelly-Ann Fraser won the women's 100 metres world title by covering the third fastest time ever of 10.73 seconds. The 22-year-old Olympic champion beat home compatriot Kerron Stewart (10.75sec) while American champion Carmelita Jeter took bronze in a time of 10.90sec. Bekele covered the distance of 10000 kilometers in 26minutes 46.31 seconds. Zarsenay from Eritrea remained second while Mosses Masai of Kenya remained third. Jamaican athlete Kerron Stewart and American athlete Carmeltia remained second and third respectively in women category.
