Lahore: Wheelchair marathon race concludes

Punjab Para Olympic Association (PPOA) in collaboration with Punjab Olympic Association organised wheelchair marathon race on Sunday. The race was divided into four categories according to physical disability of the participants.The athletes started race from Liberty round about in the morning and ended their journey at the same point after going through Gulberg Main Boulevard.In polio category, Asadullah from Mardan finished first. In other categories, Muhammad Rasheed (men’s race) from Karachi, Muhammad Nawaz (mens race) and Tehmina (women’s race) were announced winners.Punjab Olympic Association announced attractive cash prizes for the notable position holder and Rs 100,000 were distributed among them.
