Vehari: Youth dies after alleged police torture

A young victim of alleged police torture in Vehari died at Nishtar Hospital Multan.

As per details, Tsleem Bibi of Mangrana, a suburban area in Vehari, had a dispute with her husband Shahzad last year and left her home.Shazad went to his in-laws to settle the issue where another scuffle started after which Shahzad informed to the Sahooka police.Police arrested Shahbaz, a 22-year old brother of Tasleem, and allegedly tortured him and admitted him in Tehsil Headquarter Hospital Burewala as Shahbaz condition turned critical.The police officials fled from the scene after hearing that Shahbaz was not recovering. Shahbaz was shifted to Nishtar Hospital Multan where he died.The family members of Shahbaz have appealed to the Punjab CM to provide them justice.
