Indian response changed after Kargil: Musharraf

India agreed to dialogue on Kashmir issue following the Kargil War, former president Pervez Musharraf has said. He said that had Benazir been the prime minister he would still have been the president. On completion of 10-years of Kargil War, he was giving an interview to an Indian Channel. He said that Indian response changed after Pakistans success in Kargil. He refused to comment when asked whether or not he would like to launch Kargil Operation again. According to the channel, former president had for the first time conceded that troops of Pakistan Army were involved in the operation. Musharraf said that sacking Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhary was legal and constitutional however the situation wasnt tackled properly. He said that Benazir Bhutto returned to Pakistan after reconciling with the government.
