Polling for LHCBA annual election continues

The polling for annual election of the Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) continues.

Five candidates are contesting for the office of president including M. Aslam Buttar, M Sharif Chohan, Shafqat Mahmood Chohan, Shehram Sarwar Ch and Ch. Moazzam Iqbal Gill whereas for seat of vice president Afzaal Azeem Pahat and Hafeez-ur-Rehman Ch are in race.Rana Awais Tuseef and Sardar Akbar Dogar are candidates for office of Secretary and M. Ejaz, Asif Javaid Butt, Rao Zafar Mahmood, Rafila Anjum Minhas, Sheikh Faisal Zaheer, Mateen-ul-Haq Ch., Mian Shahid Shakir and Humaira Butt are contesting for office of Finance Secretary. A total of 15,682 lawyers will use their right to vote while nine polling booths have been set up for the purpose.The election are being held under supervision of a board headed by Aurangzaib Mirza Advocate.The polling started at 9.00am and will conclude at 5.00pm.
