Summary Says Iran believes in diplomacy based on national interest
TEHRAN: (Dunya News) - Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi has said Iran has submitted a new proposal to Pakistan, and now the decision is in the hands of the United States whether to take the path of diplomacy or continue the tension.
According to the Iranian News Agency, in a briefing to foreign ambassadors in Tehran regarding the negotiations, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister said that Iran always believes in diplomacy based on national interest, but is also fully prepared to give a decisive response to any kind of aggression to defend its people and territory.
He said that Iran has recently submitted its proposal to Pakistan, which aims to permanently end this war.
Now the decision is in the hands of the United States whether to pursue diplomacy or continue the tension.
Kazem Gharibabadi added that Iran is ready for both scenarios in order to protect its national interests and security, however, Iran's distrust of the United States will remain because it has committed betrayal during diplomacy.
