The senator said Iran fulfilled its commitment despite concerns. Speaking to Dunya News, Senator Sherry Rehman said negotiations have begun in Islamabad.
“Today, the whole world is grateful to Pakistan. The world is looking to Islamabad to see what progress is being made.
“The whole world was about to be engulfed by war, now an environment for negotiations has been created, and Pakistan's role is historic,” she added.
She said both sides were willing to come to Islamabad because of Pakistan. Both sides expressed confidence in Pakistan, this is a new turning point in history, I believe this moment will always be remembered, she added.
Sherry Rehman said, “I believe both sides should give each other space. It is very important to take the ceasefire environment forward and give space.
“Reaching the negotiating table is a huge success, and Islamabad's strategic and political environment is very good at the moment.”
