ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast mainly dry weather in most parts of the country during next 24 hours, while cold and partly cloudy conditions are likely to persist in hilly areas.
However, light rain-thunderstorm accompanied by light snowfall over high mountains may occur at isolated places in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir. Day temperatures are expected to remain above normal in plain areas of the country.
In Islamabad, partly cloudy to dry weather is expected in the federal capital and adjoining areas, with chances of gusty winds during the afternoon.
Across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, mainly dry weather is forecast for most districts, while upper areas are expected to experience partly cloudy and cold conditions. Isolated light rain-thunderstorm with snowfall over high mountains may occur in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan and Bajaur districts and adjoining areas.
In Punjab, dry weather is likely to prevail in most districts, with hot conditions during the daytime. Gusty winds are expected in plain areas during the afternoon, while partly cloudy conditions may develop in upper and central districts. Murree and Galiyat are likely to experience partly cloudy weather with cold conditions during morning and night hours.
Hot and dry weather is expected in most districts of Sindh. In Balochistan, dry weather is forecast for most districts, while northern parts may experience cold conditions during morning and night hours.
Partly cloudy weather with light rain-thunderstorm and snowfall over high mountains may occur at a few places in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
