Indonesian President receives grand reception at PM House

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto received a grand reception and a guard of honour upon his arrival at the Prime Minister's House in Islamabad today (Tuesday).
PM Shehbaz Sharif personally received President Subianto at the entrance of the PM House where both leaders exchanged cordial handshakes. The ceremonial event saw a disciplined contingent of the Pakistani armed forces offering the Guard of Honour to Indonesian President.

During the event, President Subianto was introduced to members of the Pakistani cabinet, while PM Shahbaz Sharif presented his delegation to the Indonesian leader. A symbolic tree-planting ceremony was also conducted in the premises of the Prime Minister House, emphasizing mutual respect and cooperation in areas of environmental and cultural significance.
Following the ceremonial welcome, both leaders are scheduled to hold delegation-level talks, focusing on bilateral cooperation, trade partnerships, and regional stability
Notably this visit follows previous state visits, including one by former Indonesian President Joko Widodo in 2018. President Prabowo Subianto, who sworn into office in October 2024, has been on several state visits recently, including to India and the UAE.
