General Sahir Shamshad Mirza paid a farewell visit to Naval Headquarters, lauding Pakistan Navy’s maritime capabilities and military cooperation.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, paid a farewell visit to the Naval Headquarters on Thursday.
Upon his arrival, he was presented with a ceremonial salute, followed by one-to-one meetings with senior naval officers, where he exchanged greetings and held discussions.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), General Sahir Shamshad Mirza met Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf during the visit. He praised the Pakistan Navy’s operational readiness and its robust capability to safeguard the country’s maritime borders. He acknowledged the Navy’s strategic role in ensuring maritime security and defending Pakistan’s naval frontiers.
The spokesperson further stated that Admiral Naveed Ashraf appreciated General Mirza’s efforts in enhancing coordination and strengthening cooperation among the three armed forces. He acknowledged his role in promoting joint operational effectiveness and fostering greater synergy between the Army, Navy, and Air Force.
The visit included farewell interactions with naval officers, symbolising mutual respect and recognition of efforts towards national defence and military unity.
