LAHORE (Web Desk) – Pakistan Railways has officially inaugurated a new rake for the railcar service operating between Lahore and Rawalpindi.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Chief Executive Officer of Railways, Aamir Ali Baloch, who inspected the newly refurbished coaches.

According to railway officials, the new rake has been refurnished to endure challenging routes and tracks. The coaches have been equipped with improved passenger facilities, including food and beverages, first-aid supplies, and enhanced cleanliness measures.

Speaking at the occasion, CEO Baloch said that similar facilities are being introduced in other trains as well. From food service to sanitation and medical care, all arrangements are being improved to ensure passenger comfort.

He added that rail travel remains one of the most affordable and safest modes of transportation. “Our primary goal is to ensure passengers reach their destinations quickly and safely,” he stated.

Baloch further noted that locomotive and track maintenance work is underway, while international financing is being utilised for track upgradation to enhance train speed and overall service quality in the future.
