Mansoor Ijaz seeks time to appear before commission

Mansoor Ijaz has sought time till January 25 to appear before memo gate commission.

A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice of Balochistan High Court (BHC) Justice Qazi Faez Isa resumed the hearing of memo gate case.Akram Shaikh, the counsel for main character of memo scandal Mansoor Ijaz informed the commission that his client wants assurance for complete security.Shaikh also read the letter, written by Mansoor Ijaz, stating that he and his family have received life threats and may be arrested or face a trial.Qazi Faez Isa directed the Attorney General Maulvi Anwarul Haq to submit an affidavit not to arrest Mansoor Ijaz on his arrival.Earlier, Mansoor Ijaz had also written a letter to the commission in which he said he was ready to visit Pakistan and requested for provision of complete security.
