LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Meteorological Department has announced that the second total lunar eclipse of 2025 will take place on the night between September 7 and 8, and it will be visible in Pakistan.

According to details, the moon will start to dim at 8:28pm (PST) on September 7. The partial eclipse will begin at 9:27pm, while the total eclipse will start at 10:31pm and reach its peak at 11:12pm. The total eclipse will end at 11:53pm, the partial phase will end at 12:57am, and the entire event will wrap up at 1:55am.

Sky gazers across Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa, western parts of North America, eastern South America, and even the Pacific, Atlantic, Indian Ocean, Arctic, and Antarctica will also be able to witness the celestial show.

Meanwhile, the Met Office added that the second and final partial solar eclipse of the year will occur on September 21-22, visible in southern Australia, the Pacific Ocean, the Atlantic Ocean, and Antarctica. However, it will not be visible in Pakistan.

In short, stargazers in Pakistan are in for a treat, as the heavens are set to put on quite a show this weekend.
