Bahrain's Interior Minister Rashid bin Abdullah held telephonic conversation with Mohsin Naqvi
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Bahrain's Interior Minister, Lieutenant General Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, held a telephonic conversation with Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Sunday.
The Bahraini interior minister expressed sorrow to his counterpart over the loss of lives caused by rains and floods in Pakistan.
He conveyed heartfelt sympathies and condolences to the bereaved families. He also offered every possible assistance for the flood-affected people.
Speaking on the occasion, the Bahraini interior minister said that Bahrain stands with the Pakistani brothers and sisters in this difficult hour and is ready to help the flood victims.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi thanked his Bahraini counterpart for expressing solidarity with the flood victims. He said that Pakistan is one of the most climate-vulnerable countries, where the devastation caused by floods, rains, and cloudbursts cannot be expressed in words.
Dozens of villages inundated, crops destroyed after Sutlej swells with high flood
Earlier, torrential rains coupled with strong wind and thunderstorm wreaked havoc in parts of the country, leaving 14 dead and 60 injured.
In DI Khan, downpours and strong wind battered parts of the city and its suburbs, claiming lives of 10 people, leaving 60 injured.
With this natural disaster, the district administration imposed an emergency and issued precautions for the masses.
The rains and thunderstorm disrupted power supply, plunging the affected-localities in darkness. Roofs, solar panels, walls, trees and poles were taken down by the heavy rainfalls.
