Field marshal appreciates devotion and attachment of overseas Pakistanis to their homeland
RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) - Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has said overseas Pakistanis are an example of "brain gain, not brain drain".
Addressing the Pakistani community during his visit to the United States, he said the question is no longer “if we will rise, but how quickly and with how much strength we will rise."
Once again dismissing the term "brain drain", he said the overseas Pakistanis are a source of pride and honour and they are shining example of "brain gain".
The field marshal said the devotion and attachment of overseas Pakistanis to their homeland is undeniable and during natural disasters, they are the first to respond to calls for aid.
Field Marshal Munir remarked that "India seeks to present itself as a world leader, but in reality, it is far from it."

He cited examples such as the killing of a Sikh leader in Canada, the case of eight Indian naval officers in Qatar, and incidents involving Kulbhushan Jadhav which presented to the world an irrefutable evidence of India's involvement in terrorism.
The field marshal stated that Pakistan successfully fought a diplomatic battle against India’s discriminatory and duplicitous policies.
He added that Pakistan responded firmly to Indian provocations and successfully prevented a broader conflict as India remained intent on destabilizing the region, but Pakistan has made it clear that any Indian aggression will be met with a resolute response.
He expressed gratitude to United States President Donald Trump, whose strategic leadership prevented not only a Pakistan-India war but also many conflicts worldwide.
He also noted that his second visit to the US within a month and a half symbolizes a new dimension in Pak-US relations.
He described the ongoing genocide in Gaza as the worst human tragedy, with severe implications at both global and regional levels.
The field marshal stated that several terrorist groups, including Fitna al-Khawarij, are active against Pakistan from Afghanistan.
