Punjab recorded the highest toll with 144 deaths and 493 injuries
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has released a report detailing the damages caused by monsoon rains from June 26 to July 25, 2025.
According to the report, a total of 266 people have lost their lives and 633 have been injured across the country due to the rains. The fatalities include 94 men, 46 women, and 126 children. Punjab recorded the highest toll with 144 deaths and 493 injuries.
The report further states that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa saw 63 deaths and 79 injuries, Sindh reported 25 deaths and 40 injuries, and Balochistan had 16 deaths and 4 injuries. Additionally, eightpeople died in Islamabad, eight in Gilgit-Baltistan, and two in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
PDMA issues alert as fifth monsoon spell set to hit Punjab
In the last 24 hours, 69 houses were destroyed due to the rains. Overall, 1,158 houses have been demolished, and 366 livestock have been swept away by floods.
