PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to convene an all parties conference (APC) to formulate a unified strategy for eliminating terrorism in the province, particularly in the newly merged districts.

The decision was taken during a high-level meeting chaired by Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, which reviewed the security situation in North and South Waziristan and other merged areas. The meeting was attended by members of the provincial cabinet and senior government officials.

During the session, it was agreed that a joint and inclusive approach involving all segments of society would be adopted to restore peace. A government delegation will be formed to visit various areas and accelerate public consultations.

Chief Minister Gandapur emphasized that political differences must be set aside and all parties must unite on a single platform to restore peace.

He announced that invitations will be sent to the parliamentary leaders of all political parties for the upcoming APC.

The Chief Minister also called for an emergency meeting with MNAs and MPAs from the merged districts, stating that long-lasting peace can only be achieved through meaningful action, mutual consultation, and consensus-based decisions.

He stressed that public representatives must speak must stand united and ensure the effective implementation of the anti-terrorism strategy.
