A bomb blast killed one man in the Peshawar, a senior police official said. Senior city police official Abdul Ghafoor Afridi said the attack happened near a police residential compound minutes after the motorcade of the provincial assembly speaker passed by. Initially we had reports that it was a suicide attack, but now after inspecting the site we have seen that a man was pushing a mango cart and apparently the bomb was hidden inside it and prematurely exploded, he said. There was only one person killed, who was the cart-pusher, he told. It was still not clear if the vendor was a suicide attacker or was unaware of the explosives packed in his cart, Afridi added.
