Haqqani sees Asma in SC under special order

Hussain Haqqani, ex-envoy to US, arrived in Supreme Court around 11am on special order.

Haqqani arrived in the Apex Court after court ordered his meeting with counsel Asma Jehangir in the Advocate Generals office on the court premises.The counsel had complained at the start of the memo-gate hearing that she didn’t have easy access to Haqqani and that he was being kept under tight security.On this, the Chief Justice said that it was violation of the human rights. The court then ordered the Attorney General to arrange meeting of Haqqani and Asma on the court premises at 11am.Following the orders, Haqqani arrived in the court in a bullet-proof car and walked inside the AG office amid anticipation, without talking to reporters.
