The National Finance Commission Award session would be held today (Friday).

Federal Minister Finance Abdul Hafeez Sheikh would chair whereas provincial minister Finance Humayun Khan and nominated member NFC award Haji Adeel would represent Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in it.The approval of NFC Award has gained challenging proportion in the present political scenario. Relations among all the four provinces were exemplary while signing NFC Award on 10th of December 2009, but on the occasion of 7th NFC Award that exemplary show of relations came to an end.Share of KP in 7th NFC Award is 14.62 per cent, 51.74 per cent of Punjab, 24.55 per cent of Sindh and 9.09 per cent of Balochistan whereas for the distribution of Finance Award regarding population it is kept 82 per cent, 31.3 per cent in poverty and destitute, 5 per cent in revenue collection and generation and 2.7 per cent for IDP. Share of the provinces is increased t 56 per cent from 47.5 per cent and it is fixed to 57.5 per cent for the next financial year.
